﴿أَهُمۡ خَيۡرٌ أَمۡ قَوۡمُ تُبَّعٖ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ مُجۡرِمِينَ ﴾
[الدُّخان: 37]
﴿أهم خير أم قوم تبع والذين من قبلهم أهلكناهم إنهم كانوا مجرمين﴾ [الدُّخان: 37]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty |
| Mohammad Shafi Are they better than the people of Tubba [an ancient tribe] and those who came before them? We destroyed those earlier peoples, because they were sinners |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani Are they better or the people of Tubba‘ and those who were before them? We have destroyed them. They were guilty indeed |
