Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Jathiyah ayat 18 - الجاثِية - Page - Juz 25
﴿ثُمَّ جَعَلۡنَٰكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِيعَةٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَمۡرِ فَٱتَّبِعۡهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعۡ أَهۡوَآءَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ ﴾
[الجاثِية: 18]
﴿ثم جعلناك على شريعة من الأمر فاتبعها ولا تتبع أهواء الذين لا﴾ [الجاثِية: 18]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Then We have made you follow a course in the affair, therefore follow it, and do not follow the low desires of those who do not know |
| Mohammad Shafi Then We have set you, (O Prophet), on a certain course of action. So follow that course, and not desires of those who know not |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall And now have We set thee (O Muhammad) on a clear road of (Our) commandment; so follow it, and follow not the whims of those who know not |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani Then We have put you on a certain way of the Matter (i.e. the religion); so follow it, and do not follow the desires of those who do not know |
| Muhammad Asad And, finally, [O Muhammad,] We have set thee on a way by which the purpose [of faith] may be fulfilled: so follow thou this [way], and follow not the likes and dislikes of those who do not know [the truth] |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali Thereafter We have made you upon a Law of the Command; (i.e., a religion from our command to Jibril (Gabriel) so follow it closely, and do not ever follow the prejudices of the ones who do not know |
