﴿أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ كَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُۥ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَهۡوَآءَهُم ﴾
[مُحمد: 14]
﴿أفمن كان على بينة من ربه كمن زين له سوء عمله واتبعوا﴾ [مُحمد: 14]
Mohammad Habib Shakir What! is he who has a clear argument from his Lord like him to whom the evil of his work is made fairseeming: and they follow their low desires |
Mohammad Shafi Is, then, he who stands on clear evidence from his Lord like one to whom one's bad deeds seem good? And people of the latter category follow but their own lusts |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Is he who relieth on a clear proof from his Lord like those for whom the evil that they do is beautified while they follow their own lusts |
Mufti Taqi Usmani Then, can one who holds on to a clear proof from his Lord be like those for whom their evil deeds are beautified, and who followed their desires |
