Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Jumu‘ah ayat 8 - الجُمعَة - Page - Juz 28
﴿قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ ٱلَّذِي تَفِرُّونَ مِنۡهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ مُلَٰقِيكُمۡۖ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَٰلِمِ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[الجُمعَة: 8]
﴿قل إن الموت الذي تفرون منه فإنه ملاقيكم ثم تردون إلى عالم﴾ [الجُمعَة: 8]
Mohammad Habib Shakir Say: (As for) the death from which you flee, that will surely overtake you, then you shall be sent back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will inform you of that which you did |
Mohammad Shafi Say, "The death you run away from will indeed meet you. And then you will be reverted to the Knower of the unseen and the seen. HE will then inform you of what you have been doing |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! the death from which ye shrink will surely meet you, and afterward ye will be returned unto the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, and He will tell you what ye used to do |
Mufti Taqi Usmani Say, “Indeed, the death from which you (try to) run away has to visit you, then you will be sent back to the Knower of the Unseen and the seen, and He will tell you what you used to do |
Muhammad Asad Say: "Behold, the death from which you are fleeing is bound to overtake you - and then you will be brought back unto Him who knows all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind, whereupon He will make you truly understand all that you were doing [in life] |
Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali Say, "Surely, the death from which you flee will surely then meet you; thereafter you will be turned back to The Knower of the Unseen and the Witnessed. Then He will fully inform you of whatever you were doing |
Muhammad Sarwar (Muhammad), tell them, "The death from which you run away will certainly approach you. Then you will be returned to the One who knows the unseen and the seen, and He will tell you what you have done |

Safi Kaskas Say, "The death from which you are fleeing will catch up with you. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the unknown and the known, and He will inform you about what you used to do |
