Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Jumu‘ah ayat 9 - الجُمعَة - Page - Juz 28
﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوۡمِ ٱلۡجُمُعَةِ فَٱسۡعَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُواْ ٱلۡبَيۡعَۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ ﴾
[الجُمعَة: 9]
﴿ياأيها الذين آمنوا إذا نودي للصلاة من يوم الجمعة فاسعوا إلى ذكر﴾ [الجُمعَة: 9]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir O you who believe! when the call is made for prayer on Friday, then hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off trading; that is better for you, if you know |
| Mohammad Shafi O you who believe! When call to the prayer on Friday is sounded, hasten to [places of worship] for remembrance of Allah and leave the worldly business. That is good for you, if you but knew it |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall O ye who believe! When the call is heard for the prayer of the day of congregation, haste unto remembrance of Allah and leave your trading. That is better for you if ye did but know |
