﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ قَٰتِلُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ يَلُونَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡكُفَّارِ وَلۡيَجِدُواْ فِيكُمۡ غِلۡظَةٗۚ وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ ﴾
[التوبَة: 123]
﴿ياأيها الذين آمنوا قاتلوا الذين يلونكم من الكفار وليجدوا فيكم غلظة واعلموا﴾ [التوبَة: 123]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil) |
| Mohammad Shafi O you who believe! Fight those of the suppressors of Truth who are near to you and they should find you stern and firm. And know that Allah is with those who fear Him |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him) |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani O you who believe, fight those disbelievers who are near you, and let them find severity in you. Know well that Allah is with the God-fearing |
| Muhammad Asad O you who have attained to faith! Fight against those deniers of the truth who are near you, and let them find you adamant; and know that. God is with those who are conscious of Him |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali O you who have believed, fight the ones of the steadfast disbelievers who border on you and let them find in you (a) harshness; and know that Allah is with the pious |
| Muhammad Sarwar Believers, fight the unbelievers near you for the cause of God so that they realize your strength and know that God is with the pious ones |
