Quran with English translation - Surah Ar-Ra‘d ayat 37 - الرَّعد - Page - Juz 13
﴿وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ حُكۡمًا عَرَبِيّٗاۚ وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعۡتَ أَهۡوَآءَهُم بَعۡدَ مَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِيّٖ وَلَا وَاقٖ ﴾
[الرَّعد: 37]
﴿وكذلك أنـزلناه حكما عربيا ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم بعد ما جاءك من العلم﴾ [الرَّعد: 37]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al So We have revealed it to be a judgment of authority in Arabic. If you were to follow their desires after the knowledge has reached you, then you would find neither protector nor defender against God |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad That is how We sent it (Quran) down, a ruling (and a law) in Arabic. And if you follow their desires after what came to you from the knowledge, then there is no supporter and no protector for you against God |
| Ali Quli Qarai Thus We have sent it down as a dispensation in Arabic; and should you follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, you shall have against Allah neither any guardian nor defender |
| Ali Unal And so (as a Book, whose message is founded on belief in and worship of One God, and which should therefore be accepted by all who were given the Book before) We send down (this Qur’an) as a final judgment in the Arabic tongue. And, indeed, if you were to follow their desires and caprices after what has come to you of the Knowledge, you would have none to defend and protect you against God |
| Hamid S Aziz Thus have We revealed it, a decisive judgment in Arabic, but had you followed their lusts (prejudices, fantasies, superstitions), after the knowledge that has come to you, then truly, would you have against Allah no protecting friend nor defender |
| John Medows Rodwell Thus, then, as a code in the Arabic tongue have we sent down the Koran; and truly, if after the knowledge that hath reached thee thou follow their desires, thou shalt have no guardian nor protector against God |
| Literal And as/like that We descended it an Arabic judgment/rule, and if (E) you followed their self attraction for desires/love and lusts after what came to you from the knowledge , no guardian/ally and nor protector/preserver, (is) for you from God |
| Mir Anees Original And thus have We sent it down (as) a judgment in Arabic, and if you follow their desires after the knowledge which has come to you, (then) you will not have any guardian or defender against Allah |
