Quran with English translation - Surah An-Nahl ayat 106 - النَّحل - Page - Juz 14
﴿مَن كَفَرَ بِٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ إِيمَٰنِهِۦٓ إِلَّا مَنۡ أُكۡرِهَ وَقَلۡبُهُۥ مُطۡمَئِنُّۢ بِٱلۡإِيمَٰنِ وَلَٰكِن مَّن شَرَحَ بِٱلۡكُفۡرِ صَدۡرٗا فَعَلَيۡهِمۡ غَضَبٞ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٞ ﴾
[النَّحل: 106]
﴿من كفر بالله من بعد إيمانه إلا من أكره وقلبه مطمئن بالإيمان﴾ [النَّحل: 106]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Anyone who after accepting faith in God, speaks unbelief, except under compulsion while their heart remaining firm in faith, yes those who open their breast to unbelief, on them is punishment from God, and theirs will be a dreadful penalty |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Whoever disbelieves in God after his belief, except anyone who does so unwillingly but his heart is at ease with the belief, but whoever opens his chest to the disbelief, God’s anger is on them, and they have a great punishment |
| Ali Quli Qarai Excepting someone who is compelled [to recant his faith] while his heart is at rest in it, those who disbelieve in Allah after [affirming] their faith and open up their breasts to unfaith, Allah’s wrath shall be upon them and there is a great punishment for them |
| Ali Unal Whoever disbelieves in God after having believed – not him who is under duress, while his heart is firm in and content with faith, but the one who willingly opens up his heart to unbelief – upon them falls God’s anger (His condemnation of them), and for them is a mighty punishment |
| Hamid S Aziz Whoever disbelieves in Allah after having believed - unless it be one who is forced and whose heart is still content in the faith - but whoever expands his breast to (easing) disbelieve - on them is wrath from Allah, and theirs is a mighty doom |
| John Medows Rodwell Whoso, after he hath believed in God denieth him, if he were forced to it and if his heart remain steadfast in the faith, shall be guiltless: but whoso openeth his breast to infidelity - on such shall be wrath from God, and a severe punishment awaiteth them |
| Literal Who disbelieved with God after his faith/believing , except who was compelled/forced, and his heart/mind (is) assured/tranquillised/secured with the faith/belief, and but who delighted/expanded his chest (innermost) to the disbelief, so on them anger from God and for them (is) a great torture |
| Mir Anees Original He who does not believe in Allah after his having believed (in Him), except he who is compelled while his heart is peaceful with belief, but he who opens (his) bosom for infidelity, then on them is anger from Allah and for them there is a great punishment |
| Mir Aneesuddin He who does not believe in God after his having believed (in Him), except he who is compelled while his heart is peaceful with belief, but he who opens (his) bosom for disbelief, then on them is anger from God and for them there is a great punishment |
