Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Baqarah ayat 135 - البَقَرَة - Page - Juz 1
﴿وَقَالُواْ كُونُواْ هُودًا أَوۡ نَصَٰرَىٰ تَهۡتَدُواْۗ قُلۡ بَلۡ مِلَّةَ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ حَنِيفٗاۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 135]
﴿وقالوا كونوا هودا أو نصارى تهتدوا قل بل ملة إبراهيم حنيفا وما﴾ [البَقَرَة: 135]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al They say, “Become Jews or Christians if you are to be guided.” Say, “No, enough is the philosophy of Abraham the true, and he did not join gods with God.” |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And they said: be a Jew or Christian to be guided. Say: not at all, the faith of monotheist Abraham (is enough to be guided), he was not one of the Polytheists |
Ali Quli Qarai They say, ‘Be either Jews or Christians, that you may be [rightly] guided.’ Say, ‘No, rather, [we will follow] the creed of Abraham, a Hanif, and he was not one of the polytheists.’ |
Ali Unal And they (the Jews) say, "Be Jews" or (the Christians say,) "Be Christians (hudan aw nasara), that you may be rightly guided." Say (to them, O Messenger): "Rather, the Way of Abraham of pure faith (is what we choose, the Way free from unbelief, associating partners with God and hypocrisy, that we may be rightly guided.)" Abraham was never of those who associate partners with God |
Hamid S Aziz They say, "Become you Jews or Christians then shall you be guided by Abraham." Say, "Not so! But we follow the religion of Abraham, the upright; he was not of the idolaters |
John Medows Rodwell They say, moreover, "Become Jews or Christians that ye may have the true guidance." SAY: Nay! the religion of Abraham, the sound in faith, and not one of those who join gods with God |
Literal And they said: "Be Jews or Christians, you will be guided." Say: "But Abraham`s religion/faith submitter/unifier of God , and he was not from the sharers (with God) |
