Quran with English translation - Surah Ta-Ha ayat 71 - طه - Page - Juz 16
﴿قَالَ ءَامَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ قَبۡلَ أَنۡ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحۡرَۖ فَلَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيۡدِيَكُمۡ وَأَرۡجُلَكُم مِّنۡ خِلَٰفٖ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمۡ فِي جُذُوعِ ٱلنَّخۡلِ وَلَتَعۡلَمُنَّ أَيُّنَآ أَشَدُّ عَذَابٗا وَأَبۡقَىٰ ﴾
[طه: 71]
﴿قال آمنتم له قبل أن آذن لكم إنه لكبيركم الذي علمكم السحر﴾ [طه: 71]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al He said, “Believe in Him before I give you permission? Surely this must be your leader, who has taught you illusions. Indeed I will cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will have you crucified on trunks of palm trees. So you will know for certain which of us can give more severe and more lasting punishment.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad He (Pharaoh) said: did you believe in Him/him before I give you permission? Indeed he is your senior, the one who taught you the magic, I shall cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I shall crucify you on the trunks of the palm tree, and you shall know punishment of which one of us is more severe and more lasting |
| Ali Quli Qarai He said, ‘Did you believe in him before I should permit you? He is indeed your chief who has taught you magic! Surely, I will cut off your hands and feet from opposite sides, and I will crucify you on the trunks of palm trees, and you will know which of us can inflict a severer and more lasting punishment.’ |
| Ali Unal (The Pharaoh) said: "Do you believe in Him before I give you leave? I see that he (Moses) is your master who taught you sorcery! I will surely have your hands and feet cut off alternately, and have you crucified on the trunks of palm-trees, and you will certainly come to know which of us (– the Lord of Aaron and Moses or I –) is more severe in punishment and (whose punishment is) more lasting |
| Hamid S Aziz Said he (Pharaoh), "Do you believe in Him before I give you leave? Verily, he is your master who taught you magic! Therefore will I surely cut off your hands and feet on alternate sides, and I will surely crucify you on the trunks of palm trees; and |
| John Medows Rodwell Said Pharaoh, "Believe ye on him ere I give you leave? He, in sooth, is your Master who hath taught you magic. I will therefore cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you on trunks of the palm, and assuredly shall ye learn which of us is severest in punishing, and who is the more abiding |
| Literal He said: "You believed to him before that I permit for you, that he truly (is) your biggest/greatest (E) who taught/instructed you the magic/sorcery, so I will cut off/sever (E) your hands and your feet from opposites (sides), and I will crucify you (E) in the palm trees` trunks/stems, and you will know (E) which of us (is) stronger (in) torture and more lasting |
| Mir Anees Original He (Firawn) said, "You believe in him before I give you permission? He (Musa) is certainly a great (expert) among you all who has taught you the magic. So I will definitely cut off your hands and your feet from opposite sides and I will definitely crucify you on the trunks of the palm trees, and you will definitely know which of us has more severe and more lasting punishment |
| Mir Aneesuddin He (Pharaoh) said, "You believe in him before I give you permission? He (Moses) is certainly a great (expert) among you all who has taught you the magic. So I will definitely cut off your hands and your feet from opposite sides and I will definitely crucify you on the trunks of the palm trees, and you will definitely know which of us has more severe and more lasting punishment |
