﴿وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةٗ لَّا يَخۡلُقُونَ شَيۡـٔٗا وَهُمۡ يُخۡلَقُونَ وَلَا يَمۡلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمۡ ضَرّٗا وَلَا نَفۡعٗا وَلَا يَمۡلِكُونَ مَوۡتٗا وَلَا حَيَوٰةٗ وَلَا نُشُورٗا ﴾
[الفُرقَان: 3]
﴿واتخذوا من دونه آلهة لا يخلقون شيئا وهم يخلقون ولا يملكون لأنفسهم﴾ [الفُرقَان: 3]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Yet they have taken besides him, gods that can create nothing but are themselves created, that have no control of hurt or good to them, and cannot control death or life, or resurrection |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And they took gods other than Him that do not create anything and they are created, and they have no power to harm or benefit themselves, and they have no power over death and life and resurrection |
| Ali Quli Qarai Yet they have taken gods besides Him who create nothing and have themselves been created, and who have no control over their own harm or benefit and have no control over [their own] death, life, or resurrection |
| Ali Unal Yet some choose to take, apart from God, deities that create nothing but are themselves created, and have no power to avert harm from, or bring benefit to, even themselves (so that they can give harm or bring benefit to their worshippers), and they have no power over death, nor over life, nor over resurrection |
| Hamid S Aziz Yet they take beside Him other gods who create not aught, but are themselves created, and cannot control harm or profit for themselves, and can control neither death, nor life, nor resurrection |
| John Medows Rodwell Yet have they adopted gods beside Him which have created nothing, but were themselves created: And no power have they over themselves for evil or for good, nor have they power of death, or of life, or of raising the dead |
| Literal And they took from other than Him gods, they do not create a thing, and they are being created, and they do not own/possess to themselves harm, and nor benefit/usefulness , and they do not own/possess death/lifelessness, and nor life , and nor revival/resurrection |
