﴿۞ كُلُّ ٱلطَّعَامِ كَانَ حِلّٗا لِّبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ إِلَّا مَا حَرَّمَ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلُ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِۦ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن تُنَزَّلَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةُۚ قُلۡ فَأۡتُواْ بِٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ فَٱتۡلُوهَآ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ ﴾
[آل عِمران: 93]
﴿كل الطعام كان حلا لبني إسرائيل إلا ما حرم إسرائيل على نفسه﴾ [آل عِمران: 93]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al All food was permissible to the Children of Israel except what Israel made impermissible for itself before the Law was revealed. Say, “Bring the Law and study it, if you are people of truth.” |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad All the foods were lawful for children of Israel before the Torah was sent down, except the ones that Israel had forbidden to himself. Say: bring the Torah and read it if you are truthful |
Ali Quli Qarai All food was lawful to the Children of Israel except what Israel had forbidden himself before the Torah was sent down. Say, ‘Bring the Torah, and read it, if you are truthful.’ |
Ali Unal All (kinds of) food (that are lawful in the Law revealed to Muhammad) were lawful to the Children of Israel (in the beginning) except what Israel (i.e. Prophet Jacob) forbade for himself before the Torah was sent down.
