﴿ظَهَرَ ٱلۡفَسَادُ فِي ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ أَيۡدِي ٱلنَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعۡضَ ٱلَّذِي عَمِلُواْ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُونَ ﴾
[الرُّوم: 41]
﴿ظهر الفساد في البر والبحر بما كسبت أيدي الناس ليذيقهم بعض الذي﴾ [الرُّوم: 41]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Corruption has appeared on land and sea because of that which the hands of humanity have earned, that God may give them a taste of some of their deeds, in order that they may turn back from evil |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad The corruption (and famine and drought) appeared in the land and the sea because of what the people’s hand did, so that He makes them taste some of that which they did, so they may return |
Ali Quli Qarai Corruption has appeared in land and sea because of the doings of the people’s hands, that He may make them taste something of what they have done, so that they may come back |
Ali Unal Corruption and disorder have appeared on land and in the sea because of what the hands of people have (done and) earned (of evil deeds). Thus He causes them to taste the consequence of some of what they have done, so that they may (take heed, repent and reform, and so) return (to the right way) |
Hamid S Aziz Corruption has appeared in the land and the sea on account of what the hands of men have wrought, that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, so that they may return |
John Medows Rodwell Destruction hath appeared by land and by sea on account of what men's hands have wrought, that it might make them taste somewhat of the fruit of their doings, that haply they might turn to God |
Literal The corruption/disorder appeared/became visible in the shore/land and sea/ocean because (of) what the people`s hands earned/gained/acquired to make them taste/experience some/part of what they made/did , maybe/perhaps they return |
