Quran with English translation - Surah As-Sajdah ayat 21 - السَّجدة - Page - Juz 21
﴿وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡأَدۡنَىٰ دُونَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡأَكۡبَرِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُونَ ﴾
[السَّجدة: 21]
﴿ولنذيقنهم من العذاب الأدنى دون العذاب الأكبر لعلهم يرجعون﴾ [السَّجدة: 21]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al And indeed We will make them taste of the penalty of this life, before the supreme penalty, in order that they may return |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And We shall make them taste from the lesser punishment (of this world) besides the greater punishment (of the hereafter), so that they may return |
| Ali Quli Qarai We shall surely make them taste the nearer punishment prior to the greater punishment, so that they may come back |
| Ali Unal However (before that supreme punishment) We will most certainly make them taste the lower kinds of punishment (in the world), so that they may (repent their ways) and return |
| Hamid S Aziz And most certainly We will make them taste of the Lesser (or Nearer) Chastisement (i.e. in this life) before the Greater Chastisement (in the Hereafter) that per chance (or possibly) they may turn |
| John Medows Rodwell And we will surely cause them to taste a punishment yet nearer at hand, besides the greater punishment, that haply they may turn to us in penitence |
| Literal And We will make them taste/experience (E) from the torture the nearest , other than the torture the greatest , maybe/perhaps they return |
