Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Ahzab ayat 6 - الأحزَاب - Page - Juz 21
﴿ٱلنَّبِيُّ أَوۡلَىٰ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ مِنۡ أَنفُسِهِمۡۖ وَأَزۡوَٰجُهُۥٓ أُمَّهَٰتُهُمۡۗ وَأُوْلُواْ ٱلۡأَرۡحَامِ بَعۡضُهُمۡ أَوۡلَىٰ بِبَعۡضٖ فِي كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُهَٰجِرِينَ إِلَّآ أَن تَفۡعَلُوٓاْ إِلَىٰٓ أَوۡلِيَآئِكُم مَّعۡرُوفٗاۚ كَانَ ذَٰلِكَ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مَسۡطُورٗا ﴾
[الأحزَاب: 6]
﴿النبي أولى بالمؤمنين من أنفسهم وأزواجه أمهاتهم وأولو الأرحام بعضهم أولى ببعض﴾ [الأحزَاب: 6]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al The prophet is closer to the believers than their own selves, and his wives are their mothers. But blood relatives among you have closer personal ties in the decree of God, than the community of believers and Muhajirs. But still do what is just to your closest friends. Such is the writing in the decree of God |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad The prophet is more entitled to the believers than themselves, and his wives are (like) their mothers. And in God’s book, blood relatives (and close relatives) are more entitled to (inherit from) each other than the believers and the migrants unless you (want to) do some good to your friends. This is written in the book |
Ali Quli Qarai The Prophet is closer to the faithful than their own souls, and his wives are their mothers. The blood relatives are more entitled to inherit from one another in the Book of Allah than the [other] faithful and Emigrants, barring any favour you may do your comrades. This has been written in the Book |
Ali Unal The Prophet has a higher claim on the believers than they have on their own selves, and (seeing that he is as a father to them) his wives are (as) their mothers. Those who are bound by blood have a greater right (in inheritance and charity) upon one another according to God’s Book than other believers and the Emigrants – except that you must (nevertheless) act with kindness toward your friends (and bequeath some of your goods to them). That is what is written in the Book (of God’s Decree) |

John Medows Rodwell Nearer of kin to the faithful is the Prophet, than they are to their own selves. His wives are their mothers. According to the Book of God, they who are related by blood, are nearer the one to the other than other believers, and than those who have fled their country for the cause of God: but whatever kindness ye shew to your kindred, shall be noted down in the Book |
