Quran with English translation - Surah Ghafir ayat 83 - غَافِر - Page - Juz 24
﴿فَلَمَّا جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَرِحُواْ بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ﴾
[غَافِر: 83]
﴿فلما جاءتهم رسلهم بالبينات فرحوا بما عندهم من العلم وحاق بهم ما﴾ [غَافِر: 83]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al For when their messengers came to them with clear signs, they reveled in the knowledge and skill they had. But the very thing, at which they were accustomed to ridicule, captured them |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad So when their messengers brought them the clear proofs, they were glad with whatever they had from the knowledge, and what they used to ridicule it surrounded them |
| Ali Quli Qarai When their apostles brought them manifest proofs, they boasted about the knowledge they possessed, but they were besieged by what they used to deride |
| Ali Unal When their Messengers came to them with manifest truths, they chose to remain in pleasure and pride only in the (narrow, superficial) knowledge they had (about the worldly life and the means to enjoy it), and what they used to mock (God’s promised punishment) overwhelmed them |
