Quran with English translation - Surah Ghafir ayat 84 - غَافِر - Page - Juz 24
﴿فَلَمَّا رَأَوۡاْ بَأۡسَنَا قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَحۡدَهُۥ وَكَفَرۡنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِۦ مُشۡرِكِينَ ﴾
[غَافِر: 84]
﴿فلما رأوا بأسنا قالوا آمنا بالله وحده وكفرنا بما كنا به مشركين﴾ [غَافِر: 84]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al But when they saw Our punishment they said, “We believe in God, the one God, and we reject the partners we joined with Him.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad So when they saw Our punishment, they said: we believed in God, He is One, and we disbelieved in what we used to associate with Him |
| Ali Quli Qarai Then, when they sighted Our punishment, they said, ‘We believe in Allah alone, and disavow what we used to take as His partners.’ |
| Ali Unal Then when they saw Our mighty punishment, they exclaimed: "We have come to believe in God as One and rejected all that we used to associate (with Him) |

| Literal So when they saw/understood Our might/power they said: "We believed with (in) God alone, and we disbelieved with what we were with Him sharing/making partners |
