Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Jathiyah ayat 17 - الجاثِية - Page - Juz 25
﴿وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُم بَيِّنَٰتٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَمۡرِۖ فَمَا ٱخۡتَلَفُوٓاْ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡعِلۡمُ بَغۡيَۢا بَيۡنَهُمۡۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقۡضِي بَيۡنَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخۡتَلِفُونَ ﴾
[الجاثِية: 17]
﴿وآتيناهم بينات من الأمر فما اختلفوا إلا من بعد ما جاءهم العلم﴾ [الجاثِية: 17]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al And We granted them clear signs in all affairs. It was only after knowledge had been granted to them that they fell into disagreements through insolent envy among themselves. Indeed your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Accountability, as to those matters in which they had differences |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And We gave them clear proofs in the matter (of religion), then they disagreed because of jealousy between them only after the knowledge came to them. Indeed your Master judges between them regarding what they were disagreeing about it, on the resurrection day |
| Ali Quli Qarai and We gave them manifest precepts. But they did not differ except after knowledge had come to them, out of envy among themselves. Indeed your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that about which they used to differ |
| Ali Unal And We granted them clear proofs concerning the affairs and commands of the Religion.; and it was only after all this knowledge came to them that they differed through envious rivalry and insolence among themselves. Surely your Lord will judge among them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that on which they used to differ |
| Hamid S Aziz And We gave them clear commandments in (religious) affairs, but they did not differ until after knowledge had come to them, through rivalry among themselves; surely your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they |
| John Medows Rodwell And we gave them clear sanctions for our behests: neither did they differ, through mutual envy, till after they had become possessed of knowledge; but thy Lord will judge between them on the day of resurrection, as to the subject of their disputes |
| Literal And We gave/brought them evidences from the matter/affair/order/command, so they did not differ/disagree/dispute except from after what came to them (from) the knowledge, oppression/transgression between them, that truly your Lord passes judgment/ends between them (on) the Resurrection Day in what they were in it differing/disagreeing |
| Mir Anees Original and We gave them clear explanations of the (religious) affair, and they did not disagree except after the knowledge which had come to them, (because of) envy among themselves. Your Fosterer will certainly judge between them on the day of resurrection, concerning that about which they used to disagree |
