﴿فَهَلۡ عَسَيۡتُمۡ إِن تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ أَن تُفۡسِدُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوٓاْ أَرۡحَامَكُمۡ ﴾
[مُحمد: 22]
﴿فهل عسيتم إن توليتم أن تفسدوا في الأرض وتقطعوا أرحامكم﴾ [مُحمد: 22]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Then is it to be expected of you, that if you were put in authority, that you will commit crimes in the land, and break your ties with friends and family |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad So if you take over, would you perhaps commit corruption on the earth and cut off your blood relatives (and your close relatives) |
Ali Quli Qarai May it not be that if you were to wield authority you would cause corruption in the land and ill-treat your blood relations |
Ali Unal But is it to be expected of you (O hypocritical ones), that you will break your promise and turn away (from God’s commandments), and cause disorder and corruption in the land, and sever the ties of kinship |
