Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Ma’idah ayat 14 - المَائدة - Page - Juz 6
﴿وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰٓ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَٰقَهُمۡ فَنَسُواْ حَظّٗا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِۦ فَأَغۡرَيۡنَا بَيۡنَهُمُ ٱلۡعَدَاوَةَ وَٱلۡبَغۡضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۚ وَسَوۡفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَصۡنَعُونَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 14]
﴿ومن الذين قالوا إنا نصارى أخذنا ميثاقهم فنسوا حظا مما ذكروا به﴾ [المَائدة: 14]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Also from those who said, "Certainly we are Christians," We took a covenant. But they forgot a good part of the message that was sent to them. So we estranged them with enmity and hatred between one another, until the Day of Accountability. And soon God will show them what it is they have done |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And from those who said we are Christians, We took their commitment, but they also forgot a part of what they were reminded of it, so We caused animosity and hatred among them until the resurrection day. And God will inform them about what they were doing |
| Ali Quli Qarai Also from those who say, ‘We are Christians,’ We took their pledge; but they forgot a part of what they were reminded. So We stirred up enmity and hatred among them until the Day of Resurrection, and soon Allah will inform them concerning what they had been doing |
| Ali Unal And from those who said, "We are Helpers," We also took a solemn pledge, but they have forgotten a (most important) portion of what they were admonished about. | Literal And from those who said: "We are Christians." We took their promise/covenant, so they forgot a luck (share) from what they were reminded with it, so We urged/excited to stir up between them the animosity and the intense hatred to the Resurrection Day, and God will inform them with what they were performing/producing |
| Mir Anees Original And from those who say, "We are Christians," We had taken a pledge from them (too), but they forgot a part of that which they were reminded with, therefore We excited enemity and hatred among them till the day of resurrection, and Allah will inform them about that which they did |
