﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَّخِذُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُواْ دِينَكُمۡ هُزُوٗا وَلَعِبٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ وَٱلۡكُفَّارَ أَوۡلِيَآءَۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 57]
﴿ياأيها الذين آمنوا لا تتخذوا الذين اتخذوا دينكم هزوا ولعبا من الذين﴾ [المَائدة: 57]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al O you who believe, do not take for friends and protectors those who take your way of life as ridiculous and amusing, whether they are among those who received the Scripture before you, or among those who reject it, but be conscious of God, if you have faith |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad You who believe, among those who were given the book before you and the disbelievers, do not take those who took your way of life as a joke and a game as friends . And be cautious of God if you are believers |
| Ali Quli Qarai O you who have faith! Do not take those who take your religion in derision and play, from among those who were given the Book before you, and the infidels, as friends, and be wary of Allah, should you be faithful |
| Ali Unal O you who believe! Do not take for guardians and confidants such of those who were given the Book before as make a mockery and sport of your Religion, and the unbelievers (who reject the Messenger, Divine Revelation, and the Last Day). Keep from disobedience to God in reverence for Him and piety, if you are truly believers |
| Hamid S Aziz O you who believe! Take not for friends and patrons those who take your religion for a jest or a sport, from either amongst those who have been given the Book before or the disbelievers; but fear Allah if you have true faith |
| John Medows Rodwell O ye who believe! take not such of those who have received the Scriptures before you, as scoff and jest at your religion, or the Infidels, for your friends, but fear God if ye are believers |
| Literal You, you those who believed, do not take those who took your religion mockingly and playing/amusement from those who were given The Book from before you, and the disbelievers (as) guardians/patrons/allies , and fear and obey God, if you were believing |
| Mir Anees Original O you who believe ! do not take as friends those who take your religion as mockery and sport, from among those who were given the book before you and the infidels; and fear Allah if you are believers |
