﴿لَوۡلَا يَنۡهَىٰهُمُ ٱلرَّبَّٰنِيُّونَ وَٱلۡأَحۡبَارُ عَن قَوۡلِهِمُ ٱلۡإِثۡمَ وَأَكۡلِهِمُ ٱلسُّحۡتَۚ لَبِئۡسَ مَا كَانُواْ يَصۡنَعُونَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 63]
﴿لولا ينهاهم الربانيون والأحبار عن قولهم الإثم وأكلهم السحت لبئس ما كانوا﴾ [المَائدة: 63]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Why do the rabbis and the doctors of law not discourage them from their saying sinful words, and from involvement in things forbidden? Wrong indeed are their deeds |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And why the devoted ones and the religious scholars do not prohibit them from their sinful talks and their eating up the illegal possessions? What they were doing was certainly bad |
| Ali Quli Qarai Why do not the rabbis and the scribes forbid them from sinful speech and consuming illicit gains? Surely, evil is what they have been working |
