Quran with English translation - Surah Al-An‘am ayat 131 - الأنعَام - Page - Juz 8
﴿ذَٰلِكَ أَن لَّمۡ يَكُن رَّبُّكَ مُهۡلِكَ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ بِظُلۡمٖ وَأَهۡلُهَا غَٰفِلُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 131]
﴿ذلك أن لم يكن ربك مهلك القرى بظلم وأهلها غافلون﴾ [الأنعَام: 131]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al For this, your Lord would not destroy them for their wrongdoing, or the peoples’ houses, while their occupants were unwarned |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad That is because your Master is not destroyer of the towns wrongfully (or for their wrongdoing) while their inhabitants are unaware |
Ali Quli Qarai This is because your Lord would never destroy the towns unjustly while their people were unaware |
Ali Unal Clearly it is not the way of your Lord that He would destroy lands unjustly without their people being warned (beforehand of the consequence of their way of life) and therefore unmindful (of the distinctions between right and wrong, truth and falsehood) |
Hamid S Aziz That is because your Lord would never destroy a township arbitrarily, while their people are unaware (of what is wrong) |
