﴿وَهُمۡ يَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنۡهُ وَيَنۡـَٔوۡنَ عَنۡهُۖ وَإِن يُهۡلِكُونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 26]
﴿وهم ينهون عنه وينأون عنه وإن يهلكون إلا أنفسهم وما يشعرون﴾ [الأنعَام: 26]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al They keep others away from it, and themselves they keep away from it, but they only destroy themselves, but they perceive it not |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And they prohibit (others) from it and they keep away from it, and they only destroy themselves and they do not realize |
| Ali Quli Qarai They dissuade [others] from [following] him, and [themselves] avoid him; yet they destroy no one except themselves, but they are not aware |
| Ali Unal They bar others from it (the Qur’an), as they themselves keep afar from it; and in doing so, they destroy only their own selves, though they do not perceive it |
| Hamid S Aziz They forbid it and they avoid it; but they destroy none but their own souls, though they perceive not |
| John Medows Rodwell And they will forbid it, and depart from it: - but they are only the authors of their own perdition, and know it not |
| Literal And they forbid/prevent from it, and they go far from it, and that they truly destroy (non) except themselves, and they do not feel/know |
