Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Mumtahanah ayat 13 - المُمتَحنَة - Page - Juz 28
﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَوَلَّوۡاْ قَوۡمًا غَضِبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ قَدۡ يَئِسُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ كَمَا يَئِسَ ٱلۡكُفَّارُ مِنۡ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلۡقُبُورِ ﴾
[المُمتَحنَة: 13]
﴿ياأيها الذين آمنوا لا تتولوا قوما غضب الله عليهم قد يئسوا من﴾ [المُمتَحنَة: 13]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al O you who believe, do not turn to the people on whom is the punishment of God. Of the hereafter they are already in despair, just as the unbelievers are in despair of the companions of the graves |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad You who believe, do not make friends with people whom God’s anger is upon them, for they have lost hope of the hereafter as the disbelievers lost hope of (return of) inhabitants of the graves |
| Ali Quli Qarai O you who have faith! Do not befriend a people at whom Allah is wrathful: they have despaired of the Hereafter, just as the faithless have despaired of the occupants of the graves |
| Ali Unal O you who believe! Do not take for friends and guardians a people who have incurred God’s condemnation and punishment: (people) who are bereft of any hope in the Hereafter (because of what their wickedness has earned), just as the unbelievers are bereft of any hope of (ever seeing again) those in the graves |
| Hamid S Aziz O you who believe! Do not make friends with a people with whom Allah is wroth; indeed they despair of the Hereafter as the unbelievers despair of those in the graves |
| John Medows Rodwell O Believers! enter not into amity with those against whom God is angered; they despair of the life to come, even as the Infidels despair of the inmates of the tombs |
| Literal You, you those who believed, do not follow a nation God became angry/angered on them, they had despaired/become hopeless from the end (other life), as/like the disbelievers despair/become hopeless from the graves`/burial place`s owners |
| Mir Anees Original O you who believe! do not make friendship with a people on whom is Allah’s anger, they are indeed in despair about the hereafter as the infidels are in despair about those who are in graves |
| Mir Aneesuddin O you who believe! do not make friendship with a people on whom is God’s anger, they are indeed in despair about the hereafter as the disbelievers are in despair about those who are in graves |
