Quran with English translation - Surah Al-A‘raf ayat 77 - الأعرَاف - Page - Juz 8
﴿فَعَقَرُواْ ٱلنَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوۡاْ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَقَالُواْ يَٰصَٰلِحُ ٱئۡتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 77]
﴿فعقروا الناقة وعتوا عن أمر ربهم وقالوا ياصالح ائتنا بما تعدنا إن﴾ [الأعرَاف: 77]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Then they hamstrung the she-camel, and insolently defied the order of their Lord saying, “O Salih, bring about your threats, if you are a messenger.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Then they killed the female camel and disregarded order of their Master and said: Salih, bring us what you promised us (the punishment), if you are one of the messengers |
| Ali Quli Qarai So they hamstrung the She-camel and defied the command of their Lord, and they said, ‘O Salih, bring us what you threaten us with, if you are one of the apostles.’ |
| Ali Unal Then (without enduring any longer to see her as evidence of the truth of Salih’s message), they cruelly slaughtered the she-camel, and disdainfully disobeyed the command of their Lord, and said: "O Salih! Bring upon us that (punishment) with which you have threatened us, if you are of those sent (by God with the truth) |
| Hamid S Aziz Then they did hamstring the she-camel, and rebelled against the commandment of their Lord and said, "O Salih! Bring upon us what you did threaten us with, if you are of those who are sent |
| John Medows Rodwell And they ham-strung the she-camel, and rebelled against their Lord's command, and said, "O Saleh, let thy menaces be accomplished upon us if thou art one of the Sent Ones |
| Literal So they wounded/slaughtered/made the female camel infertile and they became arrogant/disobedient from their Lord`s order/command, and they said: "You Saleh, come/bring to us with what you promise us if you are from the messengers |
| Mir Anees Original So they killed the she-camel and revolted against the commandment of their Fosterer and (then) they said, "O Salih ! bring on us what you threaten us with, if you are of the messengers (sent by Allah) |
| Mir Aneesuddin So they killed the she-camel and revolted against the commandment of their Lord and (then) they said, "O Salih ! bring on us what you threaten us with, if you are of the messengers (sent by God) |
