Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Bayyinah ayat 5 - البَينَة - Page - Juz 30
﴿وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓاْ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤۡتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ ٱلۡقَيِّمَةِ ﴾
[البَينَة: 5]
﴿وما أمروا إلا ليعبدوا الله مخلصين له الدين حنفاء ويقيموا الصلاة ويؤتوا﴾ [البَينَة: 5]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al And they have been asked no more than this— to worship God, offer Him sincere devotion, be truthful, establish prayer, and give zakat, and that is the way of life which is right and straight |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And they were only ordered to serve God, being sincere to Him in the way of life (religion) as a monotheist, and perform the mandatory prayers and give the mandatory charity. And that is the lasting religion |
Ali Quli Qarai Though they were not commanded except to worship Allah, dedicating their faith to Him as men of pure faith, and to maintain the prayer and pay the zakat. That is the upright religion |
Ali Unal But they were not enjoined anything other than that they should worship God, sincere in faith in Him and practicing the Religion purely for His sake, as people of pure faith, and establish the Prayer in accordance with its conditions, and pay the Prescribed Purifying Alms; and that is the upright, ever-true Religion |
Hamid S Aziz But they were bidden nothing but to worship Allah, being sincere in religion unto Him as ´Hanifs´, and to be steadfast in prayer, and to give alms: for that is the true religion |
John Medows Rodwell Yet was not aught enjoined on them but to worship God with sincere religion, sound in faith; and to observe prayer and pay the stated alms. For this is true religion |
Literal And they were not ordered/commanded except to worship God faithful/loyal/devoted to Him (in) the religion (as) submitters/Unifiers of God , and they keep up the prayers, and they give/bring the charity/purification , and that (is) the straight/valuable religion |
