﴿قَالَ يَٰبُنَيَّ لَا تَقۡصُصۡ رُءۡيَاكَ عَلَىٰٓ إِخۡوَتِكَ فَيَكِيدُواْ لَكَ كَيۡدًاۖ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ لِلۡإِنسَٰنِ عَدُوّٞ مُّبِينٞ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 5]
﴿قال يابني لا تقصص رؤياك على إخوتك فيكيدوا لك كيدا إن الشيطان﴾ [يُوسُف: 5]
| Shabbir Ahmed Jacob replied, "O My dear son! Do not relate your dream to your brothers. They might, out of envy, devise a scheme against you. Verily, selfish ego is man's open enemy |
| Syed Vickar Ahamed (His father) said: "O my son! Do not tell your dream (vision) to your brothers in case, they make up a plot against you: Verily, Satan is an avowed enemy to man |
| Talal A Itani New Translation He said, 'O my son, do not relate your vision to your brothers, lest they plot and scheme against you. Satan is man's sworn enemy |
