﴿وَلَئِنۡ أَذَقۡنَٰهُ نَعۡمَآءَ بَعۡدَ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتۡهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ ذَهَبَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتُ عَنِّيٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَفَرِحٞ فَخُورٌ ﴾
[هُود: 10]
﴿ولئن أذقناه نعماء بعد ضراء مسته ليقولن ذهب السيئات عني إنه لفرح﴾ [هُود: 10]
Abdel Haleem And if We let him taste mercy after some harm has touched him, he is sure to say, ‘Misfortune has gone away from me.’ He becomes exultant and boastful |
Abdul Hye But if We let those taste good (favor) after evil (poverty and harm) have touched them, they are sure to say: “The ills have departed from us.” Surely they are jubilant, and arrogant |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali But if We give him a taste of (Our) favours after adversity hath touched him, he is sure to say, "All evil has departed from me:" Behold! he falls into exultation and pride |
