﴿وَتِلۡكَ عَادٞۖ جَحَدُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَعَصَوۡاْ رُسُلَهُۥ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَمۡرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٖ ﴾
[هُود: 59]
﴿وتلك عاد جحدوا بآيات ربهم وعصوا رسله واتبعوا أمر كل جبار عنيد﴾ [هُود: 59]
| Abdel Haleem These were the Ad: they rejected their Lord’s signs, disobeyed His messengers, and followed the command of every obstinate tyrant |
| Abdul Hye Such were Ad (people). They rejected the Verses of their Lord and disobeyed His Messengers, and followed the command of every proud stubborn oppressor |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Such were the 'Ad People: they rejected the Signs of their Lord and Cherisher; disobeyed His messengers; And followed the command of every powerful, obstinate transgressor |
