﴿قَالُواْ نَفۡقِدُ صُوَاعَ ٱلۡمَلِكِ وَلِمَن جَآءَ بِهِۦ حِمۡلُ بَعِيرٖ وَأَنَا۠ بِهِۦ زَعِيمٞ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 72]
﴿قالوا نفقد صواع الملك ولمن جاء به حمل بعير وأنا به زعيم﴾ [يُوسُف: 72]
| Abdel Haleem They replied, ‘The king’s drinking-cup is missing,’ and, ‘Whoever returns it will get a camel-load [of grain],’ and, ‘I give you my word.’ |
| Abdul Hye They said: “We have lost the (golden) bowl of the king and for him who produces it (is the reward of) a load of camel; and I will be bound by it.” |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali They said: "We miss the great beaker of the king; for him who produces it, is (the reward of) a camel load; I will be bound by it |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi They said: we miss the king's cup; and for him who bringeth it shall be a camel-load; and thereof I am a guarantor |
| Ahmed Ali We cannot find the master's goblet. Whoever comes up with it will be given a camel-load of grain; I vouch for it |
