﴿هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُرِيكُمُ ٱلۡبَرۡقَ خَوۡفٗا وَطَمَعٗا وَيُنشِئُ ٱلسَّحَابَ ٱلثِّقَالَ ﴾
[الرَّعد: 12]
﴿هو الذي يريكم البرق خوفا وطمعا وينشئ السحاب الثقال﴾ [الرَّعد: 12]
| Abdel Haleem It is He who shows you the lightning, inspiring fear and hope; He builds up the clouds heavy with rain |
| Abdul Hye It is He Who shows you the lightning as a fear (for travelers) and as a hope (for rain). It is He who brings up the heavy clouds (with water) |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali It is He Who doth show you the lightning, by way both of fear and of hope: It is He Who doth raise up the clouds, heavy with (fertilising) rain |
