﴿وَٱسۡتَفۡتَحُواْ وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٖ ﴾
[إبراهِيم: 15]
﴿واستفتحوا وخاب كل جبار عنيد﴾ [إبراهِيم: 15]
| Abdel Haleem They asked God to decide, and every obstinate tyrant failed |
| Abdul Hye But they (the Messengers) sought help and victory (from Allah), and every stubborn, arrogant dictator (who refused to believe in Allah) was destroyed |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali But they sought victory and decision (there and then), and frustration was the lot of every powerful obstinate transgressor |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi And they besought judgment, and disappointed was every tyrant obstinate |
