﴿فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ فِي زِينَتِهِۦۖ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا يَٰلَيۡتَ لَنَا مِثۡلَ مَآ أُوتِيَ قَٰرُونُ إِنَّهُۥ لَذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٖ ﴾
[القَصَص: 79]
﴿فخرج على قومه في زينته قال الذين يريدون الحياة الدنيا ياليت لنا﴾ [القَصَص: 79]
Abdel Haleem He went out among his people in all his pomp, and those whose aim was the life of this world said, ‘If only we had been given something like what Qarun has been given: he really is a very fortunate man,’ |
Abdul Hye So (one day) he went out before his people in his pomp (worldly glitter). Those who were desirous of the worldly life, said: “Ah, would that we had the like of what Korah has been given! Surely! He is the owner of a great fortune.” |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali So he went forth among his people in the (pride of his wordly) glitter. Said those whose aim is the Life of this World: "Oh! that we had the like of what Qarun has got! for he is truly a lord of mighty good fortune |
Abdul Majid Daryabadi Then he went forth unto his people in his pomp. Those who sought the life of the world said: would that we had the like of that which hath been vouchsafed unto Qarun! Verily he is the owner of a very great fortune |
Ahmed Ali Then he came before his people in all pomp; and those enamoured of this world, said: "Ah would that we had what Qarun has been given! He indeed possesses great good fortune |
Aisha Bewley He went out among his people in his finery. Those who desired the life of this world said, ´Oh! If only we had the same as Qarun has been given! What immense good fortune he possesses.´ |

Ali Quli Qarai So he emerged before his people in his finery. Those who desired the life of the world said, ‘We wish we had like what Korah has been given! Indeed he is greatly fortunate.’ |
