﴿وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ فَلَبِثَ فِيهِمۡ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٍ إِلَّا خَمۡسِينَ عَامٗا فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلطُّوفَانُ وَهُمۡ ظَٰلِمُونَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 14]
﴿ولقد أرسلنا نوحا إلى قومه فلبث فيهم ألف سنة إلا خمسين عاما﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 14]
| Abdel Haleem We sent Noah out to his people. He lived among them for fifty years short of a thousand but when the Flood overwhelmed them they were still doing evil |
| Abdul Hye And indeed Allah sent Noah to his people and he stayed among them a 1,000 years less 50 years. The flood overtook them as they were wrongdoers |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali We (once) sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years less fifty: but the Deluge overwhelmed them while they (persisted in) sin |
