﴿وَوَصَّيۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ حُسۡنٗاۖ وَإِن جَٰهَدَاكَ لِتُشۡرِكَ بِي مَا لَيۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞ فَلَا تُطِعۡهُمَآۚ إِلَيَّ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 8]
﴿ووصينا الإنسان بوالديه حسنا وإن جاهداك لتشرك بي ما ليس لك به﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 8]
| Abdel Haleem We have commanded people to be good to their parents, but do not obey them if they strive to make you serve, beside Me, anything of which you have no knowledge: you will all return to Me, and I shall inform you of what you have done |
| Abdul Hye And We have enjoined on people to be good to their parents; but if they (parents) strive against you to make you join (partners in worship) with Me of which you have no knowledge, then don’t obey them. To Me is your return and I shall tell you what you did |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali We have enjoined on man kindness to parents: but if they (either of them) strive (to force) thee to join with Me (in worship) anything of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not. Ye have (all) to return to me, and I will tell you (the truth) of all that ye did |
