﴿فَقَدۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ فَسَوۡفَ يَأۡتِيهِمۡ أَنۢبَٰٓؤُاْ مَا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 5]
﴿فقد كذبوا بالحق لما جاءهم فسوف يأتيهم أنباء ما كانوا به يستهزئون﴾ [الأنعَام: 5]
| Abdel Haleem So they denied the truth when it came to them, but the very thing they laughed at will be brought home to them |
| Abdul Hye Indeed, they have rejected the truth (the Qur’an and Muhammad) when it came to them. But soon news will come to them of that (the punishment) they used to mock at it |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali And now they reject the truth when it reaches them: but soon shall they learn the reality of what they used to mock at |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi Surely they have belied the truth when it came unto them; so presently there cometh unto them the tidings of that whereat they have been mocking |
