﴿وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرۡيَةٍ عَتَتۡ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهَا وَرُسُلِهِۦ فَحَاسَبۡنَٰهَا حِسَابٗا شَدِيدٗا وَعَذَّبۡنَٰهَا عَذَابٗا نُّكۡرٗا ﴾
[الطَّلَاق: 8]
﴿وكأين من قرية عتت عن أمر ربها ورسله فحاسبناها حسابا شديدا وعذبناها﴾ [الطَّلَاق: 8]
| Abdel Haleem Many a town that insolently opposed the command of its Lord and His messengers We have brought sternly to account: We punished them severely |
| Abdul Hye Many townships revolted against the Command of their Lord and His Messengers. We called them to a severe account (punishment in worldly life) and We shall punish them with a horrible punishment (Hereafter) |
