﴿وَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ مِن قَوۡمِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ أَتَذَرُ مُوسَىٰ وَقَوۡمَهُۥ لِيُفۡسِدُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَيَذَرَكَ وَءَالِهَتَكَۚ قَالَ سَنُقَتِّلُ أَبۡنَآءَهُمۡ وَنَسۡتَحۡيِۦ نِسَآءَهُمۡ وَإِنَّا فَوۡقَهُمۡ قَٰهِرُونَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 127]
﴿وقال الملأ من قوم فرعون أتذر موسى وقومه ليفسدوا في الأرض ويذرك﴾ [الأعرَاف: 127]
| Abdel Haleem The leaders among Pharaoh’s people said to him, ‘But are you going to leave Moses and his people to spread corruption in the land and forsake you and your gods?’ He replied, ‘We shall kill their male children, sparing only the females: We have complete power over them.’ |
| Abdul Hye The chiefs of the people of Pharaoh said: “Will you leave Moses and his people to spread mischief in the land, and forsake you and your deities?” He said: “We will kill their sons, and we will spare their women, and indeed we have dominant powers over them.” |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Said the chiefs of Pharaoh's people: "Wilt thou leave Moses and his people, to spread mischief in the land, and to abandon thee and thy gods?" He said: "Their male children will we slay; (only) their females will we save alive; and we have over them (power) irresistible |
