﴿۞ يَٰبَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ خُذُواْ زِينَتَكُمۡ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسۡجِدٖ وَكُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ وَلَا تُسۡرِفُوٓاْۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 31]
﴿يابني آدم خذوا زينتكم عند كل مسجد وكلوا واشربوا ولا تسرفوا إنه﴾ [الأعرَاف: 31]
| Abdel Haleem Children of Adam, dress well whenever you are at worship, and eat and drink [as We have permitted] but do not be extravagant: God does not like extravagant people |
| Abdul Hye O children of Adam! Take your adornment (wear clean clothes) at every Masjid (for prayer). Eat and drink, but don’t waste by extravagance; indeed He does not like the wasters |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali O Children of Adam! wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer: eat and drink: But waste not by excess, for Allah loveth not the wasters |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi O Children of Adam! take your adornment at every worship: and eat and drink, and waste not; verily He approveth not the wasters |
| Ahmed Ali O sons of Adam, attire yourselves at every time of worship; eat and drink, but do not be wasteful, for God does not like the prodigals |
