Dr Kamal Omar And I have adopted the Millat of my forefathers, Ibrahim and Ishaque and Yaqub. It is not (suitable) for us that we may set partners with Allah (in His absolute Dominion) in any form. This is out of the grace of Allah over us and over mankind, but the majority of mankind do not pay thanks |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And I followed the creed of my fathers, Abraham and Isaac and Jacob. It had not been for us that we ascribe anything as partners with God. That is from the grace of God to us and to humanity, except most of humanity gives not thanks |
Dr Munir Munshey I follow the ways of my forefathers: Ibraheem, Ishaq and Yaqub. It is not proper for us to associate any partners with Allah! Allah is Gracious to us and all other humans! But most people do not offer thanks |
Edward Henry Palmer And I have followed the faith of my fathers, Abraham and Isaac and Jacob; we could not associate aught with God; that is from God's grace upon us and upon men: but most men give not thanks |
Farook Malik I follow the faith of my forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It is not fitting that we attribute any partners with Allah. It is the grace of Allah on us and on mankind (that He has not made us the servants of anyone else other than Himself), yet most of the people are not grateful |
George Sale and I follow the religion of my fathers, Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob. It is not lawful for us to associate any thing with God. This knowledge of the divine unity hath been given us of the bounty of God towards us, and towards mankind; but the greater part of men are not thankful |
Maududi and I have adopted the way of my forefathers - Abraham and Isaac and Jacob. It is not for us to associate any with Allah in His Divinity. It is out of Allah´s grace upon us and upon mankind (that He did not require of us to serve any other than Allah), and yet most people do not give thanks |
