﴿قَالُوٓاْ أَضۡغَٰثُ أَحۡلَٰمٖۖ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِتَأۡوِيلِ ٱلۡأَحۡلَٰمِ بِعَٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 44]
﴿قالوا أضغاث أحلام وما نحن بتأويل الأحلام بعالمين﴾ [يُوسُف: 44]
| Dr Kamal Omar They said: “Disturbing thoughts, wild imaginations; and we are not experts in the interpretation of wild disturbing imagination (appearing as dreams or visions).” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar They said: Jumbled nightmares. And we are not of the interpretation of nightmares ones who know |
| Dr Munir Munshey They said, "Dreams are nothing but scattered meaningless thoughts. We are not aware of any meaning in the dreams |
| Edward Henry Palmer Said they, 'Confused dreams, and naught of the exposition of such dreams know we |
| Farook Malik They replied: "Confused nightmares! We are not skilled in the interpretation of dreams |
| George Sale They answered, they are confused dreams; neither are we skilled in the interpretation of such kind of dreams |
| Maududi They said: "These are confused dreams, and we do not know the interpretation of such dreams |
