﴿وَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱئۡتُونِي بِهِۦۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُ ٱلرَّسُولُ قَالَ ٱرۡجِعۡ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَسۡـَٔلۡهُ مَا بَالُ ٱلنِّسۡوَةِ ٱلَّٰتِي قَطَّعۡنَ أَيۡدِيَهُنَّۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي بِكَيۡدِهِنَّ عَلِيمٞ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 50]
﴿وقال الملك ائتوني به فلما جاءه الرسول قال ارجع إلى ربك فاسأله﴾ [يُوسُف: 50]
| Dr Kamal Omar And Al-Malik (the head of state of Egypt,) said, “Come to me with him.” So as the rasul (messenger) came to him (i.e., to Yusuf), he (i.e., Yusuf) said:: “Return to your master-lord then ask him, ‘What is the position of the women who cut their hands. Surely, my Rabb (Nourisher-Sustainer) is Well-Aware of their stratagem’.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And the king said: Bring him to me. Then, when the Messenger brought about, he said: Return to thy master and ask him: What of the ladies, those who cut their hands? Truly, my Lord is Knowing of their (f) cunning |

| Maududi The king said: "Bring this man to me." But when the royal messenger came to Joseph he said: "Go back to your master and ask him about the case of the women who had cut their hands. Surely my Lord has full knowledge of their guile |
