﴿وَٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهۡدَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقۡطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفۡسِدُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّعۡنَةُ وَلَهُمۡ سُوٓءُ ٱلدَّارِ ﴾
[الرَّعد: 25]
﴿والذين ينقضون عهد الله من بعد ميثاقه ويقطعون ما أمر الله به﴾ [الرَّعد: 25]
| Dr Kamal Omar And those who break the covenant made with Allah after its ratification and cut off that what Allah has commanded thereof that it shall be kept joined, and they (also) do mischief in the land, they are the people: for them is the curse and for them is the evil in residence |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar But those who break the compact of God after its solemn promise and sever what God commanded to be joined and make corruption in and on the earth, those, for them is the curse and for them is the Dire Abode |
| Dr Munir Munshey Cursed are those who enter into a pact, and then violate their pledges, those spreading mischief in the land, and those severing the relationship Allah has enjoined. Theirs is the worst abode |

| Farook Malik As for those who break their covenant with Allah after confirming it and cut asunder what Allah has commanded to be joined and create mischief in the land, they are the ones on whom there shall be a curse and they are the ones who will have a terrible home |
| George Sale But as for those who violate the covenant of God, after the establishment thereof, and who cut in sunder that which God hath commanded to be joined, and act corruptly in the earth, on them shall a curse fall, and they shall have a miserable dwelling in hell |
| Maududi As for those who break the covenant of Allah after firmly confirming it, who cut asunder the ties that Allah has commanded to be joined, and who create corruption in the land: Allah´s curse shall be upon them and theirs shall be a wretched abode (in the Hereafter) |
