﴿وَإِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوۡمِهِ ٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ إِذۡ أَنجَىٰكُم مِّنۡ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ يَسُومُونَكُمۡ سُوٓءَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ وَيُذَبِّحُونَ أَبۡنَآءَكُمۡ وَيَسۡتَحۡيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمۡۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ عَظِيمٞ ﴾
[إبراهِيم: 6]
﴿وإذ قال موسى لقومه اذكروا نعمة الله عليكم إذ أنجاكم من آل﴾ [إبراهِيم: 6]
| Dr Kamal Omar And (bring to mind) when Musa said to his nation: “Call to mind Allah’s favour unto you when He delivered you from the followers of Firaun — they afflict you with horrible torment and they slaughter your sons, and they let your women stay alive, and in this, for you, (is) a tremendous trial from your Nourisher-Sustainer.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And mention when Moses said to his folk: Remember the divine blessing of God to you when He rescued you from the people of Pharaoh who cause an affliction to befall you—a dire punishment—and slaughter your children and save alive your women. And in it was a serious trial from your Lord |
| Dr Munir Munshey And Musa said to his people, "Do you recall the blessings of Allah? He liberated you from the tortures of the pharaohs. They inflicted horrid suffering upon you when they slaughtered your sons and let your womenfolk live! That was, indeed, a gruesome trial from your Mighty Lord |
