﴿قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغۡوَيۡتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَأُغۡوِيَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ ﴾
[الحِجر: 39]
﴿قال رب بما أغويتني لأزينن لهم في الأرض ولأغوينهم أجمعين﴾ [الحِجر: 39]
| Dr Kamal Omar (Iblis) said: “My Lord! Because you allowed me to be misled I will surely make appear dazzling to them (every evil) in the earth, and I will indeed mislead them all together |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Iblis said: My Lord! Because Thou hadst led me into error I will, certainly, make the earth appear pleasing to them and I will lead them one and all into error |
| Dr Munir Munshey (Iblees) said, "My Lord, since You led me astray, I will definitely embellish the allure of this world for them. I will fascinate and entice them all away |
| Edward Henry Palmer He said, 'O my Lord! for that Thou hast seduced me I will surely make it seem seemly for them on earth, and I will surely seduce them all together |
| Farook Malik Iblees said: "Lord! Since You let me go astray, I will make evil fair-seeming to them on earth and I will seduce them all |
| George Sale The devil replied, O Lord, because thou hast seduced me, I will surely tempt them to disobedience in the earth; and I will seduce them all |
| Maududi Iblis said: "My Lord! In the manner You led me to error, I will make things on earth seem attractive to them and lead all of them to error |
