﴿وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُم مَّاذَآ أَنزَلَ رَبُّكُمۡ قَالُوٓاْ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ﴾
[النَّحل: 24]
﴿وإذا قيل لهم ماذا أنـزل ربكم قالوا أساطير الأولين﴾ [النَّحل: 24]
| Dr Kamal Omar And when it is said to them: “What is it that your Nourisher-Sustainer has sent down?” They said: “Written record produced by the earlier people!” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And when it is said to them: What is that your Lord caused to descend, they would say: Fables of the ancient ones |
| Dr Munir Munshey When asked, ´What did your Lord reveal?´ they say, "(These are) tales of those gone by |

| Maududi When they are asked: "What is it that your Lord has revealed?" They answer: "They are merely tales of olden times |
