﴿وَمَن كَانَ فِي هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَعۡمَىٰ فَهُوَ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَعۡمَىٰ وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلٗا ﴾
[الإسرَاء: 72]
﴿ومن كان في هذه أعمى فهو في الآخرة أعمى وأضل سبيلا﴾ [الإسرَاء: 72]
| Dr Kamal Omar And whosoever remained blind (i.e., he did not use his mind to acquire knowledge of Allah’s Book and then adopt it in life) in this (world), so he (will be) blind in the Hereafter and more astray regarding the path |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And whoever had been unwilling to see here will be unseeing in the world to come and one who goes astray from the way |
| Dr Munir Munshey The one who (refuses to see, and so) does not see in this life, will be blind in the afterlife; he shall be farther away from the way |
| Edward Henry Palmer But he who in this life is blind shall be blind in the next too, and err farther from the way |
| Farook Malik But those who have played blind in this world will be blind in the hereafter, rather worse than blind in finding the Way to Salvation |
| George Sale And whoever hath been blind in this life, shall be also blind in the next, and shall wander more widely from the path of salvation |
| Maududi Whoever lived in this world as blind shall live as blind in the Life to Come; rather, he will be even farther astray than if he were (just) blind |
