We, in response, struck them deaf and induced them to sleep for

﴿فَضَرَبۡنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاذَانِهِمۡ فِي ٱلۡكَهۡفِ سِنِينَ عَدَدٗا ﴾
[الكَهف: 11]

﴿فضربنا على آذانهم في الكهف سنين عددا﴾ [الكَهف: 11]
