﴿قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجۡعَل لِّيٓ ءَايَةٗۖ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَ لَيَالٖ سَوِيّٗا ﴾
[مَريَم: 10]
﴿قال رب اجعل لي آية قال آيتك ألا تكلم الناس ثلاث ليال﴾ [مَريَم: 10]
| Dr Kamal Omar (Zakariyya) said: “My Nourisher-Sustainer! Specify to me a sign.” He said: “The sign to you is that you shall not speak to mankind for three nights (inspite of) being healthy |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Zechariah said: My Lord! Assign for me a sign. He said: Thy sign is that thou wilt not speak to humanity for three nights, although being without fault |
| Dr Munir Munshey Said, "Lord! Assign a sign for me." Said, "Despite being healthy, you shall be unable to speak for three days. That shall be your sign |
| Edward Henry Palmer Said he, 'O my Lord! make for me a sign.' He said, 'Thy sign is that thou shalt not speak to men for three nights (though) sound |
